Repair procedures

Inspection

Manual Transaxle Oil Level Check

1.	Stop the engine and then raise the vehicle using the lift.

2.	Remove the oil filler plug (A).

3.	Check the condition of the oil and make sure that it is at the proper level (A).

Install the oil filler plug (A).

Tightening torque :

58.9 - 78.5 N·m (6.0 - 8.0 kgf·m, 43.4 - 57.8 lb·ft)

The existing oil filler plug gasket must be replaced with new one. (Do not reuse it.)

Replacement

1.	Stop the engine and then raise the vehicle using the lift.

Remove the drain plug (A), allow the oil to drain out and then reinstall the drain plug.

Tightening torque :

58.9 - 78.5 N·m (6.0 - 8.0 kgf·m, 43.4 - 57.8 lb·ft)

The existing oil drain plug gasket must be replaced with a new one. (Do not reuse it.)

3.	Remove the oil filler plug (A).

Fill the manual transaxle with manual transaxle oil through the filler hole.

Recommended :

- SAE 70W, API GL-4

• Recommended transaxle oil : SK HK MTF 70W, SHELL SPIRAX S6 GHME 70W, GS CALTEX GS MTF HD 70W

Capacity :

1.6 - 1.7 L (0.42 - 0.45 U.S.gal., 1.69 - 1.80 U.S.qt., 1.41 - 1.50 lmp qt.)

Make sure that oil level is at the proper level (A).

Install the oil filler plug (A).

Tightening torque :

58.9 - 78.5 N·m (6.0 - 8.0 kgf·m, 43.4 - 57.8 lb·ft)

The existing oil filler plug gasket must be replaced with a new one. (Do not reuse it.)
