The system may not operate when:

- The ISG related sensors or system error occurs.
The yellow AUTO STOP indicator (
)
on
the instrument cluster will stay on after
blinking for 5 seconds and the light
on the ISG OFF button will illuminate.

NOTICE
If you want to use the ISG function, the battery sensor needs to be calibrated for approximately 4 hours with the ignition off and then, turn the engine on and off 2 or 3 times.
WARNING
When the engine is in Idle Stop mode, it's possible to restart the engine without the driver taking any action.
Before leaving the car or doing anything in the engine room area, stop the engine by turning the ignition switch to the LOCK(OFF) position or removing the ignition key.
If you want to deactivate the ISG system, press the ISG OFF button. The light on the ISG OFF button will illuminate. If you press the ISG OFF button again, the system will be activated and the light on the ISG OFF button will turn off.
Repair procedures Inspection 1.Check for continuity between the terminals. If there is an abnormality, replace the switch. Removal • When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.
Repair procedures Replacement 1.Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. 2.Remove the heater unit. (Refer to Heater - "Heater Unit") 3.Remove the heater core cover (A) after loosening the mounting screws. 4.Pull out the heater core (A) from the heater unit.
