Description and operation
Installed
in high pressure pump, the Fuel Pressure Control Valve controls inflow
of fuel into the injectors in accordance with the ECM signal calculated
based on various engine conditions.

Repair procedures
1. | Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal. |
2. | Disconnect the fuel pressure control valve connector. |
3. | Measure resistance between the fuel pressure control valve terminals 1 and 2. |
4. | Check that the resistance is within the specification.
Specification: 0.54 Ω [20°C(68°F)] |

Fuel Pressure Control Valve cannot be replaced on its own; it should be replaced with the high pressure fuel pump.
