| Removal |
In
case of removing the high pressure fuel pump, high pressure fuel pipe,
delivery pipe, and injector, there may be injury caused by leakage of
the high pressure fuel. So don’t do any repair work right after engine
stops. |
| 1. | Release the residual pressure in fuel line.
(Refer to Fuel Delivery System - “Release Residual Pressure in Fuel Line”)
|
| 2. | Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal. |
| 3. | Remove the intake manifold.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Intake Manifold")
|
| 4. | Remove the injector & delivery pipe form (A).
|
| 5. | Remove
the flange nut (A) from the high pressure fuel pump by using the
special service tool [SST No.: 09314-3Q100 or 09314-27130].
|
| 6. | Unfasten the mounting bolts (A) and then separate the low pressure fuel line. |
| 7. | Unfasten the mounting bolts (B) and then remove the high pressure fuel pipe (C).
|
| 8. | Unfasten the mounting bolts (A) and then remove the delivery pipe & injector assembly (B) from the engine.
|
| 9. | Disconnect the injector & rail pressure sensor connector (A).
|
| Installation |
|
| 1. | Install in the reverse order of removal. |
Repair procedures Removal 1. Open the fuel filler door and then remove the filler-neck mounting bolts (A). Filler-neck assembly mounting bolt: 7.
