Description and operation
Installed
on the intercooler assembly, the Boost Pressure Sensor (BPS) measures
the pressure of the compressed air in turbocharger.

Repair procedures
| 1. | Connect a KDS on the Data Link Connector (DLC). |
| 2. | Measure the output voltage of the BPS at idle and IG ON.

| 1. | Turn the ingnition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal. |
| 2. | Disconnect the boost pressure sensor connector (A). |
| 3. | Remove the sensor by loosening the mounting bolts (B).
Boost pressure sensor mounting bolt :
6.9 - 10.8 N·m (0.7 - 1.1 kgf·m, 5.1 - 8.0 lb·ft) |

| Install the component to the specified torques. |

| Note
that internal damage may occur when the component is dropped. If the
component has been dropped, inspect before installing. |

Removal
1.Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
2.Remove the rear combination lamp (A) after loosening the screws.
3.Remove the rear combination lamp packing (A).
4.Disconnect the rear combination lamp connector (A).
Repair procedures
Inspection
1.Ignition "ON"
2.Manually operate the control switch and measure the voltage of blower motor.
3.Select the control switch to raise voltage until high speed.
