Description and operation
Installed
on the intercooler assembly, the Boost Pressure Sensor (BPS) measures
the pressure of the compressed air in turbocharger.

Repair procedures
| 1. | Connect a KDS on the Data Link Connector (DLC). |
| 2. | Measure the output voltage of the BPS at idle and IG ON.

| 1. | Turn the ingnition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal. |
| 2. | Disconnect the boost pressure sensor connector (A). |
| 3. | Remove the sensor by loosening the mounting bolts (B).
Boost pressure sensor mounting bolt :
6.9 - 10.8 N·m (0.7 - 1.1 kgf·m, 5.1 - 8.0 lb·ft) |

| Install the component to the specified torques. |

| Note
that internal damage may occur when the component is dropped. If the
component has been dropped, inspect before installing. |

Removal
1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
2. Using a screwdriver or remover, separate the map lamp lens (A) from the map lamp.
3. Remove the map lamp (A) after loosening the screws.

1.Check for continuity between the terminals. If there is an abnormality, replace the switch.

When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.
