Adjusting Instrument Cluster Illumination

WARNING
Never adjust the instrument cluster while driving. This could result in loss of control and lead to an accident that may cause death, serious injury, or property damage.
The brightness of the instrument panel illumination is changed by rotating the illumination control knob (“+” or “-”) when the ignition switch or Engine Start/Stop button is ON, or the tail lights are turned on.

The brightness of the instrument panel illumination is displayed (Type B Cluster). If the brightness reaches to the maxi mum or minimum level, an alarm will sound (if equipped).

Repair procedures Removal 1.Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. 2.Remove the main crash pad assembly. (Refer to Body - "Main Crash Pad Assembly") 3.Disconnect the connector of the immobilizer unit and then remove the immobilizer unit (A) after loosening a bolt.
Repair procedures Inspection 1.Check for continuity between the terminals. If there is an abnormality, replace the switch. Removal • When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.
