Repair procedures
Inspection
Component Inspection
1.
Remove the clutch & ignition lock switch.
2.
Rotate the switch lever to the direction of the arrow to check the operating point (A).

Removal
1.
Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
2.
Remove the crash pad lower panel.
(Refer to Body - "Crash Pad Lower Panel")
3.
Disconnect the cluch switch & ignition lock swtich connector (A).

4.
Loosen the bolts (A) and then remove the ignition lock switch & clutch switch.
Tightening torque :
2.0 - 3.9 N·m (0.2 - 0.4 kg·m, 1.4 - 2.9 lb·ft)

Installation
1.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
   
A.
Fixing the clutch pedal end of (B).
B.
Lightly tighten the bolt after the fixed to the clutch pedal hook (D) to the switch lever (C).
C.
Turn the ignition lock switch lever in ON → OFF position and then tighten the bolts (A) with specified torque.
Clutch pedal operating stroke (B) :
[Kappa 1.0 MPI / FFV, Kappa 1.2 MPI]
70 mm ± 3.0 mm (2.7559 ± 0.1181 in.)
[Kappa 1.0 T-GDI]
72.5 mm ± 3.0 mm (2.8543 ± 0.1181 in.)
Tightening torque :
2.0 - 3.9 N·m (0.2 - 0.4 kg·m, 1.4 - 2.9 lb·ft)
