Repair procedures

Removal and Installation
1.
Remove the engine room under cover and RH side cover.
(Refer to Engine and Transaxle Assembly - "Engine Room Under Cover")
2.
Remove the drive belt.
(Refer to Drive Belt System - "Drive Belt")
3.
Remove the RH side front wheel.
(Refer to Suspension System - "Wheel")
4.
Remove the crankshaft damper pulley.
(1)
Using the SST (09231-2M100, 09231-2J210) to hold the crankshaft damper pulley (A).
(2)
Remove the crankshaft damper pulley bolt.
Tightening torque :
55.9 - 61.8 N·m (5.7 - 6.3 kgf·m, 41.2 - 45.6 lb·ft) +38 - 42°

Remove the crankshaft damper pulley (A).

5.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
Inspection
Check the crankshaft damper pulley for vibration during rotation, and oil or dust deposit on V-ribbed part. Replace if necessary.

    Repair procedures Inspection 1.Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. 2.Remove the roof trim assembly. (Refer to Body - "Roof Trim Assembly") 3.Remove the hands free mic (A) after loosening the mounting screws. 4.Check tshe continuity of between terminals.

    Repair procedures Inspection    • Wrap tin foil around the end of the voltmeter test lead to prevent damaging the heater line. Apply pressure on the tin foil with hand and move the tin foil along the grid line to check for open circuits.
